Dr. Michael Bartiss, a native of Syracuse, NY, moved to Pinehurst in 1993 where he resides with his wife Katie. He serves on committees with the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, The Surgery Center of Pinehurst and First Health of the Carolinas.
In his spare time, Dr. Bartiss enjoys spending family time with his three grown children, cooking, traveling, and cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers and Buffalo Bills.

Dr. Poindexter is a native of Lee County, NC. He currently resides in Moore County with his high school sweetheart and wife, Julie, and their three children. He is dedicated to serving with the Carthage Lions Club in both their vision outreach and diabetes awareness. He enjoys golf, time with friends and family, running, coaching and supporting his kids activities, and cheering on his alma mater, the NCSU Wolfpack.
